Find Jewelry With Fancy Intense Yellow Diamonds
Fancy intense yellow diamonds are just some of the colored stones available at wholesale prices. Yellow, pink, purple and blue diamonds all feature intense, vivid coloring that is unique to this family of stones. While they may differ in appearance, they all feature the same basic chemical makeup that makes them the hardest substances on earth. The subtle variations in natural gas exposure are what give fancy colored specimens their hues.
How Fancy Intense Yellow Diamonds Are Created
Trace elements found in mine deposits give rare diamonds their color. Intense yellows, for instance, are created thanks to contact with nitrogen gas below the surface of the earth. The color of these gems can also be altered as a result of radiation exposure, such as in the case with green diamonds. Even internal inclusions (flaws) in a colorless stone can give it a yellow or brown tone that is deemed desirable by many buyers.
Created vs. Natural Fancy Intense Colored Diamonds
Some jewellery retailers will sell created, or synthetic, colored diamonds. These items are less-expensive options, but they are also less valuable as a rule. Treating natural diamonds with irradiation to enhance color, however, is a more acceptable process that doesn’t typically devalue a stone significantly. You can assume that most yellow and pink vivid diamonds have been treated at some point to increase aesthetic value or to hide natural inclusions.
